The Olive Harvest

At the end of October, it’s time for the olive harvest at Casa YUVI. This year we’re opening the farm to a small group of people to join us for the weekend.
The stay begins on Friday afternoon with arrival at Casa YUVI and dinner together. On Saturday, after breakfast, we’ll spend the day among the olive trees harvesting, stopping for lunch before continuing in the afternoon and gathering around the table again for dinner.
On Sunday morning, after breakfast and check-out, we’ll finish the weekend with a visit to the hot baths.
Programme
Arrival & Welcome Dinner
Arrival at Casa YUVI from 15:00, settle into your room, and dinner together at the farmhouse.
Harvest Day & Tasting of the New Oil
Breakfast, harvesting among the olive trees, lunch in the field, afternoon harvesting, tasting of the newly pressed olive oil, and dinner around the table.
Breakfast, Check-out & Hot Baths
Breakfast at the farmhouse, check-out, and a visit to the local natural hot baths.
On Saturday we spend the day outdoors in the olive groves. Working alongside us, we lay out the nets, harvest the olives from the trees, and take a break for lunch together in the field before finishing the day’s work.
Tasting of the New Olive Oil
The olives harvested and milled the previous week provide the first fresh oil of the season. Guests will taste this newly produced, intensely green extra virgin olive oil during the weekend meals.
Evenings are spent together at the farmhouse around the table and the outdoor fire, sharing food, wine, and conversation as the autumn air cools.
